Update on the Rock WWE return

In a radio interview with Boston's Mix 104 this week, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shed some new light on his upcoming WWE return, which is expected to take place this summer.

When asked if he plans on wrestling a match, The Rock said:

"How I would come back is a different capacity than what Hulk Hogan did or I believe Ric Flair is doing. Those guys are coming back to actually wrestle. I don't want to wrestle; I have no intention of wrestling a match."

The Rock plans on having a major impact on WWE programming and could serve as a semi-permanent RAW Guest host for the entire summer:

"I do have intention of going back and hosting the show. Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to get on the microphone, rip open the writing, and invite guests on to come host with me. We wanted to create something cool and big and fun for the audience."

Does this mean Rock could be on Raw all summer? That would be freakin awesome.

Please, please, let Rock be the guest host durning the summer. That would kick so much ass and probably be the smartest idea that WWE has done this year. Possibly and quite a few years.

Seriously want to see that Rock/HBK match. Can live with the long-term guest host *shudders* deal...FUCK! Just bring in a GM!!!

The Rock on the mic for me is worth as much if not more than The Rock wrestling. This is where The Rock turly shines and this is where he can bring more to WWE at the moment. Since The Rock has last wrestled 6 years ago at Wrestlemania XX, and as opposed to Bret, he chose to leave wrestling so I can totally understand that he doesn't want to wrestle.

Anyway, it's gonna be an awesome summer!

Even if Rock does not wrestle, I am sure he will lay the smack down on somebody.

If he can lay the smackdown on The Miz, that's something I'd be happy with.

They would just be great

Santino/Rock is bound to happen somewhere down the line. There is way too much good potential comedic material for WWE to avoid it.

I would rather see a heel Santino/Rock segment.

To be honest, I enjoyed The Rock more on mic, than when he wrestled. So yeah, this news is great to me.
