| Yesterday, Jr. annouced that he was ending his 22yr MLB career. If it weren't for injuries, he could have been the greatest MLB player of all-time. Even after losing a lot of time to injuries, Jr still hit 630 HR's and had 10 Gold Gloves. Only 2 players in MLB history have more then 10 Gold Gloves. Jr. Was the best player in the game for the first 10 years of his career and he will be in the Hall one day. | |

| Not according to him It's one of those in-house things that nobody really knows the truth to yet. 2 players say he did, but he said he didn't, the manager said he didn't, and neither of those 2 players have stepped up and said anything since. | |

He had 10 or 12 great years and he will be in the HOF soon. | |

| I'm not talking just HOF. HOF signifies a great player, but I'm talking about the BEST of all-time. | |

| Hell, for a good 10 years, he was the best of all-time. He was brilliant at every aspect of baseball. Playing CF at a Gold Glove level, steel bases, hit for average, hit for power. The man was the perfect baseball player. | |

| ^^Even more than just the perfect player, he was the perfect person really. He had so much fun around the game, especially when Lou Pinella went ape shit on umps back then and he was in the dugout laughing his ass off. | |
