JR Comments On Mike Adamle As ECW Announcer

Jim Ross recently updated his blog at http://www.jrsbarbq.com. In this edition he speaks on Mike Adamle replacing Joey Styles as ECW Announcer. Here is an excerpt:

"I spoke with Mike Adamle, who replaced Joey (Styles), at length Monday night after Raw about his new assignment. Mike is a former world class athlete who played in the NFL so Mike’s natural, competitive nature will help the former running back in his new venture. Wrestling fans can be tough to please at times and there is no doubt that Mike will have to earn the audience’s confidence, which will be a work in progress.

"Hopefully, wrestling fans will give Adamle the opportunity to settle in and develop his wrestling broadcasting skills. Broadcasting wrestling has never been more challenging, especially considering there are so many masters to serve in today’s marketplace, including promoting magazines, the Internet, selling PPVs , calling shorter bouts, DVD sales, etc on virtually every broadcast. This business is not about what one has done in the past and any broadcaster is only as good as his last outing. I still get nervous before every show and feel it is my responsibility to get better every week at what I do for a living. 'Next week' is guaranteed to no one."

I don't read too much of Jim Ross's Blog!

I mean, no offense to you Jim Ross fans, but I find most of his stuff in his blog too biased!

I mean, he don't hardly praise the likes of Charlie Haas, Victoria, Jillian Hall and TNA!

and he wants Bruno Sammartino to get over it!

and so, ever since 2006, I lost my respect for Jim Ross!

Please tell me you're kidding. Why would a WWE HOFer who is one of the most well known announcers on television praise TNA? That makes no sense.

Well he has said some bad thing about people!

Especially that smart remark he said about Victoria!

Oh and others in the WWE have praised TNA including Trish Stratus and she says that she doesn't watch WWE anymore like she use to and neither does Lita or Stacy!

Here's what Jim Ross said about Victoria:

Mickie James and Victoria had a nice 5 minute match. This RAW needed next week’s three hours so these matches would not have appeared to be so rushed. Mickie advances and Victoria goes back to making delicious pizza for the time being in Louisville.

Trish, Lita, and Stacey are NO LONGER EMPLOYED BY WWE. Huge difference. JR starts praising the closest thing WWE has to competion, when he is a big-time announcer and a huge face of the company, and he'll find himself off TV faster than Joey Styles.

No-one employed by the WWE have praised TNA to my knowledge.

and also, in case if you missed it, Trish Stratus said that she likes the TNA Women's Division and even though she is still friends with WWE Divas Torrie Wilson, Mickie James, Victoria and Lilian Garcia as well as Superstars like Tommy Dreamer and Edge, she doesn't watch the WWE and she said that she is not too happy with Wrestlemania XXIV having Bunny Mania instead of their usual Women's Title Match!

Oh, Melina has praised TNA in The Sun Newspaper, and later, I will show it to you!

If the Melina thing is true it explains her lack fo getting a push.

If I ran the WWE, I wouldn't want my people praising TNA, when they have made an effort on several occasions to start a war.

Oh, in which case I retract my earlier comment. I don't like what McMahon does to the WWE either, but I suppose he built it then it is his right to destroy it.

A real fan of PRO WRESRLING - that doesn't mean you are not a real fan of the WWE.

Again TNAguy has taken a thread to nowhere land.
It is unfair to judge Adamle by Joey Styles standards because he is obviously not as good nor will he be. Adamle was much better this week and you have to give him a chance. He is trying to do his job and it isn't his fault Style isn't annoucing right now. He was much better this past week, but he still has a lot of work to do.

Please, he sucked royally this week. He still can't say Jimmy Wang Yang. He left awkward silences for Tazz to fill. I felt like Tazz was doing the play by play and Adamle was sitting there uselessly. He made no useful commentary all night. I am done giving him a chance. I will now watch ECW and simply laugh and his expense. I am looking forward to the next youtube Adamle bloopers video.

I still think that he sucked a little less this week, but maybe it is because he said a little less this week...I know he got the job because he is getting paid big money and has powerfull friends, but if he doesn't get better, he will not have the job that long...Give it a few months and if he doesn't get better, he will not keep the job...and he is still better than Coach...
