Hey guys, w/Wrestlemania 25 just 3 weeks away, let's take a look @ the Wrestlemania Moments of a man who put the Attitude in WWF Attitude:
and the man that I'm talking about is Steven James Anderson now known as Steve Williams, but he is better known to fans as Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold Steve Austin has been in 10 Wrestlemanias
His 1st Wrestlemania was back in 1996 @ Wrestlemania XII and that was a year after being fired from Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling (WCW) by then-WCW President Eric Bischoff
@ Wrestlemania XII in Ahaheim, CA, Austin had his very 1st match @ Wrestlemania and along w/manager Ted DiBiase, Sr., Austin def. Savio Vega via TKO when the referee was knocked out and DiBiase gave him the Million Dollar Championship belt to use on Vega. Austin slapped on a sleeper hold and Vega's arm dropped three times
But that was just the beginning of his WM Moment
@ Wrestlemania 13, The Texas Rattlesnake took on Bret Hart in a Rematch from the 1996 Survivor Series
This time, it was a Submission Match with Future NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ken Shamrock as the Guest Referee
The Match was AWESOME and Brutal, but when Bret Hart had Austin in the Sharpshooter, his face started to bleed, but when Austin passed out, Shamrock stopped the match and Bret Hart was declared the winner, but even though Austin didn't say "I Quit" or tapped out, Austin showed guts and determination.
@ Wrestlemania XIV in Boston, MA, Austin would go on to def. Shawn Michaels to win his 1st WWE Heavyweight Championship @ the age of 33
Mike Tyson was the Guest Enforcer and after the match, HBK confronted Tyson, but then, suffered a punch in the mouth from Tyson and Austin handed Tyson an Austin 3:16 Shirt
@ Wrestlemanias VX & X-7, Austin would take on The Rock
and both matches were No DQ's
@ Wrestlemania XV in Philly, the home to Extreme Championship Wrestling, Austin def. The Rock to win his 3rd WWE Heavyweight Championship
Vince was on his way to referee, but WWE Commissioner Shawn Michaels appeared and told him to hit the bricks. The match went through three referees, until Mankind came down to officiate. McMahon came down to ringside, and got stunned after Austin won
Jim Ross joined the King for commentary.
@ Wrestlemania XVII in H-Town, Austin def. The Rock....again to win his 5th WWE Heavyweight Championship
Jim Ross & Paul Heyman were doing commentary and during the match, Austin was handed a chair by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and after the match, Austin shook hands with Satan Himself
@ Wrestlemania X8 in Toronto, Austin took on Scott Hall
and on that night, Austin def. Scott Hall with the Stone Cold Stunner and during the match, he also stunned fellow Outsider Kevin Nash
This was also Scott Hall's 1st Wrestlemania in 7 years since Wrestlemania XI
@ Wrestlemania XIX in Seattle, WA, Austin met The Rock for one last time.3
Only this time, The Rock def. Austin with 3 Rock Bottoms and it was Austin's Final Match, but @ the end, The Rock gave Austin the salute and Austin got cheered @ the end
However, the following night on RAW, Austin was fired by Eric Bischoff after revealing a secret about Austin and Jim Ross went Ballistic on Bischoff.
and it was also the night, that Goldberg made his WWE Debut on RAW.
@ Wrestlemania XX in Madison Square Garden, Austin was back, only this time, he was the Guest Referee for a match between Brock Lesnar & Goldberg
Unfortunately, GOLDBERG won, but it was THE worst match on the card that year, but for their troubles, Lesnar & Goldberg gave both of them the Stone Cold Stunner
@ Wrestlemania 21, Austin was a Guest on Rowdy Roddy Piper's Famous Talk Show Segment-Piper's Pit
@ Wrestlemania 23, Austin was once again the guest referee for the Battle of the Billionaires Match
as then-ECW World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley w/Donald Trump took on RAW's then-WWE I-C Heavyweight Champion Umaga w/The McMahon Boys in their corner
The loser must shave the Billionaire's Head
Lashley won the match, and then, Vinnie Mac got his head shaved and afterwards, Austin stunned The Donald
Now, Austin did not appear @ WM 2000 b/c of a Career Ending Neck Surgery and he also didn't show up @ Wrestlemania 22 the night after he inducted Bret "The Hitman" Hart to the 2006 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
and he also didn't show up @ Wrestlemania XXIV last year in Orlando, FL
Today, Austin is now pursuing his career as an actor, but you'll never know when he will pop-up next in the WWE.
and that's our look @ the Wrestlemania Moments of the KING of WWF Attitude
