Undisputed World Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Matches

Hey guys, with Wrestlemania 25 just 1 week away and with TNA Lockdown just 3 weeks away, let's take a look @ a moment from 2001:

Before TNA was born and after Vince McMahon bought WCW, there were 2 Steel Cage Matches to determine the Undisputed World Tag Team Champions

WWE World Tag Team Champions and WCW World Tag Team Champions

@ Summerslam 2001, The Brothers of Destruction Kane & The Undertaker were the WCW World Tag Team Champions when they def. Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire and DDP and Kanyon def. The APA to win the WWE World Tag Team Championship

and so, they decided to settle it in a Steel Cage to unify both Tag Team Belts

and on that night, The BOD with help from Sara were able to def. DDP and Kanyon and walked away with the WWE & WCW World Tag Team Championship

However, they would lose both belts to 2 separate teams:

The Dudleys won the WWE Titles from BOD and Booker T. and Test won the WCW Titles from BOD

The Dudleys would soon lose the WWE Belts to The Rock and Chris Jericho and Booker T. and Test would lose the WCW Belts to The Hardys thanks to The Undertaker and they would later lose the WCW Titles to The Dudleys

and as for the WWE Titles, The Rock and Jericho would lose the belts to Booker T. and Test and and they would later lose the titles to The Hardys thanks to Lita

But then @ Survivor Series 2001 by order of Mick Foley, both titles would be unified once again inside of a Steel Cage

The WCW World Tag Team Champions The Dudleys took on The 5x WWE World Tag Team Champions The Hardys

The Dudleys had Stacy Keibler in their corner and The Hardys had Litta in their corner as well

Jeff hardy was going to do a Swamton off the top of the cage, but then missed and landed on the table that was handed to The Dudleys by Stacy Keibler

and @ the end, it was The Dudleys who not only won the WWE World Tag Team Titles for a 6th time, but they also became the Undisputed World Tag Team Champions and they also became 15x World Tag Team Champions in their careers.

and now, next Sunday Night, The Miz and Morrison will put up the WWE World Tag Team Championship and The Colon Bros. will put up the SD! WWE Tag Team Championship and the match will determine who will become the Undisputed WWE World Tag Team Champions

and as for TNA Lockdown, 3 weeks from now, it will be a Title vs. Title Match as the 2x TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc. will put their Titles on the line against the 21x World Tag Team Champions Team 3-D as they put the IWGP Tag Team Title on the line as well inside the 6-Sides of Steel and this will be 1st time that the TNA World Tag Team Titles and the IWGP Tag Team Titles will be defended inside the 6-Sides of Steel @ Lockdown.
