John Cena will be out for at least 6 months following his pectoral muscle tear. He has been stripped of the WWE Championship, leaving the main event for Sunday's No Mercy PPV up in the air. WWE.com has posted the following statement regarding the vacated WWE title situation:

WWE.com has learned that WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon will kick-off ECW on Sci Fi tonight with a special announcement addressing John Cena’s injury and the fate of the WWE Championship.

WWE officials haved vowed that there will be a WWE Championship Match this Sunday at No Mercy and a new WWE Champion will be crowned. Tonight's ECW should be interesting.
