----------- There goes the only reason I was considering watching wrestling again

I assumed this was going to happen as I'm sure just about everyone else did. Kennedy was constantly out with injuries and he can't really be a worthwhile asset to the company if he's not out there wrestling. It's a shame but hopefully he will either get better and find someplace else to go or he will find a career that he's better suited for.

I personally think he'd be good at a color commentating position, he's too fragile to really achieve his potential as a wrestler.

I'm really disappointed at this. I really expected big things for Mr. Kennedy, partly because his fued with Undertaker got me back into wrestling more then anything else. I figured this might happened when I heard he hurt his wirst but, I wish it wouldn't of. As for him being a color commentator, I think I'd only be interested in it if he was heel again. He isn't a terrible face but, heel works with his gimmick so much better for the mic. If Kennedy somehow manages to get better and not get injured all the time and goes to TNA, I'll probably start watching TNA full time (I only watch it occasional, which is more than I can say for most of WWE broadcasts).

My sentiments exactly.
When I heard the news I cried a little.
I died a little.
I ripped the WWE logo off my Mr Kennedy T-Shirt.

Not much of a loss. We never really saw him anyway.

Such a shame, really. When Zach told me about this, I didn't really believe him until he linked me to wwe.com. I'm pretty much on the same boat as Bek here; I was gonna start watching wrestling again when Tiff told me about Kennedy's return but now .

They said that he had wrist injuries from the RKO.
He released this video:

^Yeah, it was also annouced on his official site (ran by a close friend of his) that he was 100% healthy. He got released becuase of Orton, due to the fact that Kennedy gave him a stiff back suplex (check the video of the ten man tag, after the back suplex before Kennedy and Orton made the tag, you can see Orton throw his arm in the direction and yell at him. Orton confronted him backstage afterwards, thats what ultimately (at least I believe) lead to his release. His injuries played as a secondary motive, even if he didn't injury his wrist, the injuries still kept him from gaining enough momentum and fan popularity so this situation wouldn't end in his release and just a setback for him. Anyway I'm hoping for TNA in Kennedy's future. Just a quick note, I found that video pretty funny, Ken did that great.
The word on Mr. Kennedy's surprising release from World Wrestling Entertainment Friday night is that almost injuring Randy Orton as well as himself during his match on Raw last week was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Kennedy made his return to Raw on Monday night after a ten month hiatus rehabbing a badly injured shoulder. As bad luck would have it, Kennedy ended up injuring his wrist after taking the RKO from Orton. More seriously in the eyes of management, Orton nearly re-injured his bad shoulder as a result of an errant back suplex on the part of Kennedy, who dropped him on his shoulder rather than his back. This happened to be the same area where he broke his collarbone exactly one year ago today at the One Night Stand pay-per-view, resulting in a several month absence from the ring. Orton was visibly upset as he quickly slapped Kennedy on the back of the head and started pounding his fist on the mat before finally selling the maneuver.
While Kennedy suffered an injury to his wrist as a result of an RKO from Orton, it wasn't believed to be serious.
Following the show, Orton and Kennedy had words backstage, although it was not heated. Very calmly, Orton dressed him down, telling him he needed to be more careful so he wouldn't injure anyone else in the ring.
Internally, many are singling out Kennedy's sloppy maneuver on Orton as the final straw and caused Vince McMahon, following several attempts over the years to push him, and numerous untimely setbacks, to finally make the decision to part ways with him.
