- Dave Meltzer broke the news tonight that Shane McMahon had a meeting
recently with Dana White at the UFC offices. White refused to comment when asked about Shane this weekend while promoting UFC 105 in England. Depending on how this plays out this is potentially one of the biggest stories of the decade. The only thing certain right now is that only a handful of people know what took place in that meeting and none of them will be talking about it.

| They are not direct compition. UFC's compition is other MMA orgnizations like Strikeforce. It has been a rumor for a while now that Shane wanted to get into the MMA business, so I won't be suprised. Vince might be pissed but whatever. I don't think Shane turned on WWE, he just wants to move on to something else, thats all.
Shane has been successful in the WWE and he could bring a lot of knowledge at promotion, to the UFC.

| Tbh, the UFC probably doesn't need Shane at all. Their marketing machine is a monster and they can make or break any MMA's fighter career they want. Hell, they have everybody believing that Fedor isn't the best HW right now | |

After Rogers broke his nose, I am not so sure. Shane is worth like 80 million, maybe he can be an investor or something.

| UFC already is a marketing machine by itself but you never have too many great marketing guys. Shane McMahon handled every marketing aspect of WWE and he could be a great asset to WWE. And personally, I don't think that Dana White would actually ignore what Shane can bring to the table. If he believes that Shane McMahon will make UFC better, by all means, they will work together. | |

| Shane has been in the business of promoting things all of his life. Yes, he has done wrestling, but promotion is selling a product when you get down to it. Shane has watched one of the best do it all of his life and has worked in one of the most successful companies for his entire adult life. UFC is already great at promotion, but you can never have too many great minds when you are selling a product like pro-wrestling, MMA, boxing, or any other sports event for that matter. | |

I don't think Rogers catching Fedor just right to break his nose should make you question whether he's a good fighter or not. It's not like he actually did much damage to Fedor in the entire fight.
