Elijah Burke Update

Elijah Burke, who hasn't been seen on television since late May, posted the following note on his official website (www.TheElijahExpress.com}: "But fear not! Just know that, "MY COMEBACK SHALL BE GREATER THAN MY SETBACK!" ~ YOUR Pope has Spoken!" Burke also posted blogs on TMZ, O.J. Simpson, Kimbo Slice getting knocked out, and more. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported a few weeks ago that he was one of the many residents of Texas without power for weeks due to the effects of Hurricane Ike.

Well, hopefully Burke comes back and ges a decent push, although I'm not sure how the whole "Black Pope" gimmick is going to work to his advantage.

It's about damn time. Elijah Burke is one of my favorite young wrestlers in the WWE today, and has about more charisma than anyone except for maybe Santino Marella (and it's close at that). He's very athletic, and has so much to offer. I think the Black Pope gimmick could possibly carry him far.
