2 years ago; The End of the Cruiserweight Championship

Hey guys, it's been 2 years since the WWE had retired the Cruiserweight Championship

Now, @ The Great American Bash '07, Chavo Guerrero defended the title in a Cruiserweight Open, but @ the end, it was Hornswaggle who took the CW Belt away from Chavo and Chavo was Irate, but then, SD! Asst. GM Vickie Guerrero stripped Hornswaggle of the CW Belt and as a result, WWE Chairman and Majority Owner Vince McMahon decided that it was time to retire the CW Belt and then the following year @ GAB '08, the Divas Title was born.

and now, not counting Hornswaggle, there are 7 Former CW Champions that are currently in the WWE:

Jamie Noble-Former CW Champ who won the Title back in 2002 @ the Final King of the Ring PPV

Gregory Helms alias The Huricane-who held the title 3 times and he's the longest running CW Champ in Professional Wrestling holding the title for 55 weeks

Matt Hardy-Former CW Champ who won the Title back in 2003 @ No Way Out

Funaki-Former CW Champ who won the title back in 2004 @ Armageddon

Chris Jericho-Former 4x Cruiserweight Champion in WCW def. X-Pac, Alex Wright, Rey Mysterio and Dean Malenko

Chavo Guerrero-Former 6x CW Champ who won the title twice in WCW back in the year 2000 and won it 4 more times in the WWE and he's won the belt 3 times @ No Way Out in 2004, 2005 and again in 2007

Rey Mysterio-Former 8x Cruiserweight Champion who won the belt 5 times in WCW and 3 times in the WWE def. the likes of Dean Malenko, the late Eddie Guerrero, Juventud Guerrera, Billy Kidman, Psychosis, Matt Hardy, Tajari and Chavo Guerrero and Chavo, Sr. in a Triple Threat Match
